I just ran into a very nice guy on Twitter (yeah, ok, the name, I get it. Dumb name. Should have named it Smucker's instead of Twitter).
He suggested I check out a site called JD Supra.
So I did.
And it had some interesting qualities. For one thing, it was my favorite price(tm).
And it organized written material in a clear, easy to read way, which makes really good sense to me, but doesn't excite me a lot; that aspect looked a lot like a simple flat-file database, whatever that is.
But the JD Supra site suggested that it ALSO submitted your posts and materials to search engines, sort of like an online press agent. All for my favorite price(tm).
So maybe it's not the Holy Grail for legal bloggers, but it still looks like it could be a very useful billboard/carnival barker/press agent, all my favorite price(tm).
Now, the one thing I have in great abundance is blog posts.
So soon I'm going to do a lot of blog post shuffling.
I'm going to jam a bunch into my Martindale all-you-can-eat blog site, and I'll shove a bunch into JD Supra, and I'll modify the blog posts in my Findlaw site, and see what happens to my various search engine results.
And, as always, dear reader, I'll keep you posted.
If JD Supra comes through for me, you'll know about it.
Partly because JD Supra will be broadcasting my blog posts far and wide! Woo-hoo!
P.S. note that you CAN spend more on JD Supra than my favorite price(tm); but the entry-level online press agent function looks like it's worth a try before I buy, you know? And if it does work, well, then I'll buy the upsell on their site, and really go to town!
I'm just a Phoenix, Arizona Bankruptcy Attorney passing along what I found when I wanted to improve my bankruptcy practice and generate higher levels of client happiness. And it worked for me!
